Anisa Nagakawa (she/they) is an illustrator, muralist, and educator based in Toronto, Canada (prev. Brooklyn, NY and Osaka, Japan).

​

Their illustrations are an intimate portrait of interiors, fascination with organic beauty, with special attention to history of design. 

 

Anisa’s murals are on display at OCAD University as part of her work at the Student Wellness Centre advancing community resources with original health promotion. Her illustrated workbooks series “Tackling Imposter Syndrome” has been distributed by the Centre for Emerging Artists and Designers.

​

Anisa’s multilingual background and international citizenship has informed their way of seeing the world. Her illustrations transform everyday objects into objets d'arts.
